Architect or Geometra?
Do I need an architect or a geometra? What is the difference?

These are the questions my clients keep asking, so let’s try to provide a simple, concise answer:
You can become a geometra at the age of 18, at the end of secondary school, with no higher qualification. To become an architect you need to have attended University, after secondary school, for at least 5 years.
To give a better explanation I could use a simile in the ambit of medicine: if the architect is a doctor, the geometra is a nurse. In most cases the “wounded” houses we wish to restore require the equivalent of open-heart surgery: would you refer to a nurse for this kind of operation?
